Ralph Fusco, 85, of Southbury, CT passed away on July 14th at Saint Mary's Hospital. Ralph was born on December 27th 1930 to the late Mariano & Francesca Fusco. Ralph had two sisters Perry & Venice who predeceased him and his youngest sister Helen Hurley of Hopewell Junction, New York.
After High School Ralph enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War and was a cook aboard an LST. After the Navy, Ralph worked in the Rubicon Laboratory of the Naugatuck Chemical Division of Uniroyal until his retirement at the age of 55. He was a passionate inventor all of his life and delved into this work well into his retirement years. There was always a project or an idea he was working on and during those times of intense focus and precision one could hear Frank Sinatra playing in the background as music was one of many passion's he had.
Ralph had a love for many things in life including his plane, boat and camper. He enjoyed these activities with the handful of close friends and family he cherished spending time with. When he wasn't enjoying these activities or busy working on his latest project Ralph wanted to be with family relaxing and enjoying their company. He was also a member of Christ the Redeemer Church in Southbury, CT.
Ralph is survived by his wife Lorraine Fusco of Southbury; Daughter Victoria Ferreira of Torrington; Granddaughter Rebecca Reiff of Winsted; Grandson Joshua Ferreira of Torrington and Great-Grandchildren Emma, Henry, William & Oliver.
