Mrs. Phyllis Tupper - Tiso, 87, of Heritage Village and formerly of Ridgefield, died Friday June 1, 2012 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the wife of Remo J. Tiso.
Mrs. Tiso was born July 16, 1924 in New Rochelle, NY a daughter of the late Philip and Evelyn (Moore) Tupper. She was the chairman of the Ridgefield Democratic Town Committee and an avid reader. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
In addition to her loving husband of 69 years, she is survived by two sons, Gary Tiso and his wife Carol of Pawling, NY and Philip Tiso and his wife Robin of Cheshire, two daughters, Janine Helbig and her husband David of New Milford and Phyllis Martin and her husband Jeffrey of Southbury, a sister Lois Tupper - Zmitrovis of Hardy, VA, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Tupper Tiso and two grandchildren.
