Phyllis Havrilchak

Southbury- Phyllis Havrilchak, 89, of Southbury passed away on January 11, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital. She was the loving wife of 69 years to the late Myron Havrilchak.

Phyllis was born on July 23, 1936 in Garfield, New Jersey to George and Kataryna Kopec.

She was one of 6 children and attended local schools. After meeting Myron, they quickly fell in love and started their own family. They had 2 daughters, Elaine and Sandra and Phyllis gladly filled the role of homemaker, wife, and mother.

Phyllis could often be found enjoying a good book curled up with her dog Wyatt, working on a crossword puzzle, knitting, crocheting, or watching her beloved Yankees.

Phyllis was predeceased by her siblings, Albert, Mildred Jaskowlak, Jane LaPlaca, and John Kopec. She is survived by her children Elaine Lane, Sandra Havrilchak, her sister Doris, her three grandchildren, Ashley Wyka and her husband Mark, Michael Lane, Sarah Lane, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
