Obituary


Mr. Phillip R. Johnson, 80, of Washington died Saturday July 10th at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Brunhilde K. (Merz) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was born August 13, 1929 in Norwalk to the late Elsie Johnson. He was a wonderful husband and a devoted father. Phillip was an extraordinarily hardworking man who began working for Woodruff Garage as an automotive mechanic when he was 16 years old. He loved his occupation and eventually came to be Co-owner for many years. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a very generous heart.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son Robert Johnson and his wife Carole of Foster, RI, two daughters Annette Johnson-Platt and her Fiancé© Maqsood of Waterbury and Tanya Johnson of Woodbury and a brother Roger Webb and his wife Eda of Weston. He was predeceased by his grandmother Sonja Johnson.

Services: Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 17th at 11am in Washington Green Cemetery, Washington.

Visitation: There are no calling hours.
