Mr. Phil A. Vasta, 85, of Heritage Village died Monday May 25, 2009 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Rose (Calandra) Vasta.
Mr. Vasta was born December 3, 1923 in New York City a son of the late Francesco and Nancy Vasta. He was an Air Force veteran having served during World War II for three years. He was a wonderful husband and father and cared greatly for his family.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son Steven Vasta of New York City, two brothers, a sister and many nieces and nephews.

Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday May 28th at 10: 00am at Sacred Heart Church, 990 Main St. South, Southbury. Burial will follow at St. Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx, Ny.

Visitation: Friends may call in the chapel at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday May 27th from 2: 00 - 4: 00pm and 5: 30 - 7: 00pm.
