Peter Randall Serniak

Peter R. Serniak passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Danbury, CT. He was born in Bronxville, New York, on April 22, 1949, to Alice and Peter Serniak.

He attended public schools in Bronxville and Yonkers, New York. For college, Pete chose Western Connecticut State for both undergraduate and graduate school. He had a career in the Extension and Cooperative Services Department; advising and assisting students at WestConn. After he retired, Pete enjoyed volunteering his time at WMNR and his local library bookstore.

Pete's four favorite "F" words were: Friends, Family, Food, and FUN! He enjoyed every minute he spent with friends and family. He was a wonderful and gracious host, making sure that everyone had as much fun as he had when gathered together for any occasion. Pete's interests included reading a good book, quoting Jean Shepherd, discussing anything about automobiles, eating anything in the "round food group" and finding happiness in the little things. Pete was a most joyful spirit!

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Judith P. Serniak, as well as many loving cousins, nieces and Godson Nicholas Falcone.

Calling hours will be held Friday February 20, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury, Connecticut. Burial will be immediately following at New North Cemetery, 87 Washington Avenue, Woodbury, Connecticut.
