Peter Lombard Mercurio passed away surrounded by his partner of 35 years
Stephan Hermann Worobel, family, and loved ones, on April 12, 2012 in CT. Generous
Peter shared his passion for dance, music, entertaining, and literature with a
wonderful circle of close friends. We all will miss his elegance, humor, kindness,
and keen intelligence. For twenty-five years, owning his shop, Peter Hermann
Leather Goods in Soho, afforded him the opportunity to travel often to his favorite
cities, Paris and Milan. He will be remembered by many loyal customers for his
unique merchandising style and his welcoming smile. Originally from Rochester,
NY, Peter has a loving extended family there. He and Stephan have homes in
Cobble Hill, Brooklyn and Washington, CT, where they loved to cycle through the
countryside.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Peter wished that donations be sent to the American Ballet Theater 890 Broadway New York, NY 10003.

Services: A gathering of friends and family will be held at his Washington Ct home on April 28th at 4: 00 pm to celebrate his wonderful life.
