Peter McGuire, 74, died on November 7, 2013 (suddenly) at his home in Carmel, New York. Native of Grange, Enfield, County Kildare, Ireland. Former Kildare and New York Gaelic football player. He loved the game and after his retirement from playing he went on to coach the West-Put Gaels for many years. For over twenty years he was the proprietor of McGuire's Pub located in Lake Carmel, NY. Beloved husband of Edna. Loving father of Paul (Colleen) McGuire, Siobhan (Jeffery) Meyer, Raymond (Eileen) McGuire, Fionnuala (Christopher) Brown, and Roisin McGuire. Cherished Grandpa to Catrina, Patricia, Greg, Gillian, Michaela, Allison, Katherine, Maureen, Grace, Charlotte, and Olivia. Survived by his sister Marie Vincent-Janes (England), and brothers Billy, Pat, and Kevin (Ireland) and brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services: Funeral mass Monday, November 11, at 11: 00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury, Connecticut. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Southbury, Connecticut.

Visitation: Visitation on Sunday, November 10 from 3 to 6 pm in the daily chapel of the church.
