Peter B. Connal, 92, of Southbury, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Olwen Connal. Peter was born April 12, 1920 in Flushing, NY and grew up in that area. He joined the Army Air Force and trained as a pilot in 1942. He flew 15 missions during WW II, flying B-26's and A-26's in England, France and Belgium. He volunteered to go to the Pacific, but missions were canceled after the dropping of the atom bombs. Peter was discharged in 1945. After the war he worked as a senior investigator for the Equifax Corp., in the insurance claims and security field. He retired in 1985after 40 years of service. Moving to Heritage Village in 1991, Peter and his wife Olwen were active in skiing, tennis and golf, as well as serving at the Southbury Baptist Church. He also served as a condo 3 cluster captain in the village. Before retiring to Southbury, he was chairman of the Planning Board in the Brewster, NY area for some 20 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Fairbanks of Woodbury and his son Peter Connal and his wife Kathy of New River, Arizona.

Services: Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 4: 00 p.m. at the Southbury Baptist Church, 114 Roxbury Road. Burial will be private.
