Mrs. Pauline W. Mansfield, 90, of Rome, Georgia, formerly of Woodbury, Connecticut, passes away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Riverwood Senior Living Center, in Rome. Pauline was born in Abington, Mass. On June 25, 1925, daughter of the late Lester A. Wood and the late Bertha A. Cross Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Mansfield, and a son, James Mansfield.
Pauline is survived by ten children: Diane (Ronald) Joyce, Donna (James) Norman, Holly (Neal) Carden, Philip Mansfield, Wendy Hall, Laurel (David) Giuliano, Paula(Camille) Lebel, Robin (Ronald) Simmons, Michael (Pamela) Mansfield, and Arnold (Patrice) Mansfield; her sister Joan (Floyd) Judson; 35 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She also predeceased by her brother Lester Wood, Jr. and her sisters Carolyn Dains and Barbara Wood.
Pauline graduated from Woodbury High School, then Mattatuck Community College. Her hobbies included photography, painting, and reading. She was an accomplished cake decorator, and was known especially for her wedding cakes.
She loved to travel with her husband Paul, and made several trips camping across the country and up into Canada to visit relatives there. Pauline loved being with her family, and often hosted picnics and campouts with her children and grandchildren.

Services: Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Paul's Church, Main Street, Woodbury, CT. at 12: 30 p.m. followed by interment at the New North Cemetery.
Visitation: Calling hours will be 10: 00 a.m. to 12: 00 p.m. at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury, CT.
