Paula E. Thompson, 63, of Waterbury (formerly of Norwich), died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Paula was born July 30, 1949 in Norwich, daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Lyman) Tylenda. Paula was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked as a convalescent home nurse for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, tag-sale shopping and practicing her faith. She is survived by two sons, Paul Thompson and his wife Jennifer of Woodbury and Jason Thompson of Middletown; a daughter, Melanie Carlino and her husband Ryan of Colorado; four grandchildren, Zachary and Samantha Thompson and Joshua and Vincent Carlino.

Services: A memorial gathering will be held Friday, May 17th from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service at 3 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial is private.
