Obituary

ROME, GA- Paul Harvey Mansfield, age 88, of 2517 Maple Road, Rome died
Tuesday evening, September 26th, 2006 at a Rome hospital.

A native of Woodbury, Conn., Mr. Mansfield was born on March
23rd, 1918, the son of the late Warren A. and Martha Fowler Mansfield. He had
been a resident of Rome for 3 months having moved here from Woodbury, Conn. and
was a member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church of Woodbury. Mr. Mansfield served during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater as a member of the United States Army. Mr. Mansfield and was a member of the American Legion in Woodbury
and a member of C.S.P.P.E. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Mansfield was plumber,
steamfitter, electrician , heating and air conditioning repair expert associated
with the Mental Health Center in New Haven, CT. where he served as a
maintenance supervisor. Mr. Mansfield was a life member of the Good Sam Travel Club and an active member of the Nutmeg Squares Dancing Club for many years. Mr.
Mansfield was married on February 9th, 1947 to the former Pauline Mildred Wood with
whom he had 11 children.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline (Wood) Mansfield of Rome.
and all 11 children. There are 7 daughters, Diane Joyce of Edgewater, Florida,
Donna Humphrey- Norman of Middlebury, CT, Holly Carden of Adairsville, GA.,
Wendy Hall of Rome, GA., Laurel Guiliano of S. Glastonbury, CT, Paula Lush of
Bristol, CT and Robin Simmons of Farmington, CT, 4 sons, James of Woodbury
CT, Phillip of Bethlehem, CT, Michael of Torrington, CT and Arnold
Mansfield of Woodbury, CT. Also, 38 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren 1
great-great-granddaughter, and a great many of nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal
Church. Burial with military honors will be in New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
Friends may call at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St.
on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial

Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will military honors will be in New North Cemetery, Woodbury.

Visitation: Friends may call the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St. on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
