IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul W.
Gustafson
October 19, 1967 – October 15, 2022
Paul Gustafson of Woodbury, passed away unexpectedly on October 15th at his home. Paul was born on October 19th, 1967. He was a graduate of Nonnewaug High School class of 1986.
Paul worked in construction most of his life. He enjoyed spending his time outside tending his to vegetable and flower gardens and anything to do with Ford trucks. For those who knew Paul, he lived life to its fullest and had a rebellious spirit. He was a unique character, certainly a one-of-a-kind personality. Paul's favorite way to spend his time was with his family cooking, hanging out at home or taking the annual family trip to Lake George.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Tracy Cole-Gustafson and his daughters who were the loves of his life, Jessie Costante and her husband James and Brieanna Gustafson (Tyler Parsons). With his daughter Jessie, he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, shooting the breeze and enjoying each other's company while they cooked Sunday night dinner, Jessie will greatly miss their daily reminders of how much they loved each other. With his daughter Brieanna, he enjoyed going to fairs, attending auctions, raising livestock, and whatever else she conned him into helping with, he truly was her best friend. He always had a smile on his face along with his distinctive laugh. Paul was known to give the shirt off his back and along with his wife, opened their home to anyone and always making them feel like part of their family. More than that, he was incredibly devoted to his family especially his daughters.
Paul is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Summer and Paulie Cipriano, Keith and Sarah Vidic, Ashlynn Vidic and Zandrew Prihoda, Christopher Gustafson, Kaylee Vidic and Ruby Capodiferro. Paul was also devoted to his great-niece Stella Vidic and his great-nephews Noah and Luca Cipriano. Paul also leaves behind his brothers Harry Gustafson of Woodbury and Robert Gustafson of Georgia along with his surviving in-laws Arthur and Linda Cole and is predeceased by his sister-in-law Jenifer Capodiferro. Aside from his immediate family, Paul leaves behind countless extended family members, honorary adopted children and friends along with his four-legged companion, Ruby.
With Paul gone, the lives of his family and friends will never be the same.
