Obituary

Paul Turner Caulkins, 73, of Woodbury passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the son of the late Curtis Caulkins and late Adelaide (Jorgensen) Caulkins. Paul was born May 5, 1936 in Bridgeport. In 1955 he graduated from Bullard Havens Technical High School then served in the Army for 3 years. He then became an employee of The United Illuminating Company. He retired as a lineman in 1995 after 36 years of dedicated service.
Paul and his wife moved to Woodbury in 2001 after residing in Newtown for 37 years. Paul enjoyed working on his home, repairing cars and tractors, and camping. During the last 11 years he spent his summers camping on the beach at Misquamicut, RI where he enjoyed being with his friends and family. He also enjoyed playing cards at the Woodbury Senior Center with friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara (Kent) Caulkins, son Bruce Caulkins of Oxford, daughter Lynn Telesco and son-in law John of Southbury; his grandchildren Emily and Cicily; his brother Curtis and sister in-law Elizabeth of South Carolina; and many nephews and nieces.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Funeral: Church Not Applicable

Services: A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 13th at 1: 00pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be private.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Saturday from 11: 00am until the time of service.
