Obituary

Patricia Patelson was born on August 2, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio and was the daughter of Eine Lenn and August Koponen.

Patricia was a Rockette, dancing at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City during the 1930s and 40s. From 1942-1945 she went to Hollywood where she was given a contract with the Metro Goldwin Mayer Movie Studio. She appeared in numerous musicals including "Meet Me in St.Louis" with Judy Garland and the "Zigfeld Follies" with Fred Astaire.

In 1945, Patricia participated with fifteen other ex-Rockettes in a U.S.O. show traveling to Europe for six months to entertain United States troops who were waiting to come home at the end of WWII.

She has resided in Heritage Village since 1982. Her husband Henry Patelson died in 2006. She is survived by her daughters Sally Patelson of New York City and Alice Patelson of Southbury, who love her very much.
