Mrs. Patricia Karl Herron, 81, of the Watermark at East Hill died Saturday December 15th at VITAS in Waterbury. She was the wife of Forest R. Herron II.
Mrs. Herron was born December 3, 1932 in Olean, New York, a daughter of the late Robert and Clementine (Zinc) Karl. She was a graduate of Syracuse University and worked as a nurse for an OB-GYN office. She married Forest Robert Herron II in 1958 and they had two children.
She was an avid sports enthusiast, loved to swim, bike and travel the world with Forest, her loving husband of 54 years. They traveled all 7 continents. She also enjoyed photography. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Southbury.
The family would like to thank Dr. Felice, attending physician at the hospital for the special care in New Britain. Also a thank you to Maureen from Hospice, and our good friends at Ayla's in Woodbury where she enjoyed her morning coffee.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her son, Forest Robert Herron III, a son-in-law David Calderado, a brother, James R. Karl and 3 grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher and Matthew. She was predeceased by a daughter, Holly Calderado.
