Obituary

Patricia L. Galbo, 81, of Southbury, CT passed away Saturday February 1, 2014. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Marinette, Wisconsin to the late Phil and Violet (Meyer) Clermont.
She graduated from Marinette High School, class of 1950. On August 11, 1951, Pat married Richard Galbo at the First Baptist Church in Menominee, Michigan. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary in 2013. They lived in New York State where they raised three children. Pat worked as a manager of several large restaurants over the years.
In 1991, Pat and Dick returned to Marinette where she worked as a manager at the former Dome Resort. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and for several years volunteered at the Lutheran Home.
In 2005, Pat and Dick returned back East to Connecticut to be closer to their children. Along with enjoying time with her children, grandchildren and great grandsons, Pat loved reading. She was very proud to be the oldest member of The Four Seasons Book Club. She also enjoyed working on puzzles and spending time on Cape Cod. She was also very fond of lemon meringue pie, a good glass of Merlot and lilacs.
Pat was preceded in death by only five weeks, by the love of her life, Richard. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Thomas) Nettleton of Southport, CT; her son, Patrick Galbo of New Milford, CT; her daughter in law, Barbara Adams of Wolcott, CT; her son, Mark (Jessica) Galbo of Telluride, CO; 6 grandchildren, Shaun (Kristen) Nettleton of Washington, CT, Danielle Nettleton of Chatham, MA, and Miles, Sam, Arabella and Joseph Galbo of Telluride, CO; and two great grandsons, Jack and Fin Nettleton of CT.
She is further survived by a brother, Arthur (Maryann) Clermont of Green Bay, WI, and a sister Julie (Eldred) Swanson of Milwaukee, WI. Also two sisters in law, Nancy Clermont of Menominee, MI, and Janet Galbo of Libertyville, Ill, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Phil, Jack, Steve and Cal Clermont, and two sisters, Joyce (Robert) Aubry and Jean (Robert) Bourgeois.

Memorials: Pat was deeply touched by the tragedy in Sandy Hook, CT, and had requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, PO Box 605, Newtown, CT 06470.
