Patricia A. Arnold, a 39 year resident of Southbury crossed the Rainbow Bridge,
with her childhood pet, a white collie named Pal, on Friday, October 10, 2014. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Floyd and Carolyn Duermit Cordes, leaving there in 1936 to live in New York State until moving to Connecticut in 1950.
She leaves her husband, Robert E. Arnold Sr of Southbury, six children: Robert Arnold Jr. of Southbury, Richard Arnold of New Milford and his wife Christina, Deborah Flint of Bethel, Sandra Mosher of Newtown, Kathleen Mosher of Southbury, and Timothy Mosher and his significant other, Terry Lieder, of Southbury.
Her grandchildren include Michael Flint, a career Air Force Specialist of Oklahoma City his wife Yayoi, and their 3 children, Ashlie Taylor Mosher of Panama City, Florida and her three children, and Peter Blunt and Caitlin Blunt of New Milford, children of Christina Arnold.
She also leaves a brother, LeRoy Cordes of Brookfield, his close friend of many years, Joan Huse of Danbury, and a sister, Carol Dombroski of South Norwalk, her husband James and their son Jamie.
Pat was actively engaged in working until September of 2013. Her latest and most favored position being with L'Amy America in Wilton where she was an inventory and freight coordinator. She leaves her many work associates and especially wanted to mention Susan Wyatt with whom she became the closest of friends.
She enjoyed reading, photography, NASCAR, and bird watching at the many feeders in her yard.
She considered Herkimer, New York to be her hometown since she spent formative years with her childhood friends and attended school there. She always said it was a great little town to grow up in.
Some of the many pets throughout her life included Pal, her first collie, Warlock, a Siberian husky, Toby, a miniature poodle, Leo, a rescue chow with the latest being Sally and Huck, brother and sister beagles from Minerva Ohio. Her husband also cared for the many feral cats living in the wooded area near by.
