Otto Joseph Paparazzo of Woodbury passed away peacefully on September 23rd at the River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. He was 88.
Born in Waterbury on October 2, 1925, the son of Maria and Louis Paparazzo, Otto was a graduate of Crosby High School, Cheshire Academy and the Rhode Island School of Design. He served his country with honor during the Second World War as a member of the 254th Infantry Regiment from 1944 to 1946 in Europe.
Along with his brothers, Otto is best known for the development of award-winning Heritage Village in Southbury. His other projects included Pond Place in Avon, Connecticut; Devonwood in Farmington, Connecticut and Amherst Fields in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Otto is survived by his wife Frances Paparazzo; daughter Janet Paparazzo and son-in-law Marty Reap; son Eric Paparazzo of Woodbury; grandson Sam Paparazzo of Bethlehem; daughter Robin Paparazzo and son-in-law Jean Luc Chouvier of Pellegrue, France; daughter Lisa Paparazzo and son-in-law Peter Sikowitz of New York City; his brother Frank of Woodbury; brother Henry of Bridgewater; and many nephews, nieces and their families. He was predeceased by his sister Eleanor, brothers Louis and Joseph and his son David.
