IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Otto
Duran
May 9, 1945 – October 30, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Otto Duran, who left us after a brief illness. Born in Holland to Johannes Christiaan and Hendrina Duran, Otto later moved to the United States, where he completed his internship with Farrell Corporation. During this time, he met the love of his life, Rosa, with whom he shared a wonderful life for 57 years.
Otto built a successful career and worked for many years at Farrell Corporation, where he was admired for his expertise, dedication, and generosity of spirit. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Otto found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, taking long walks with Rosa and their two dogs, Aga, and Leni; collecting stamps; and tending to his garden. He was a wine connoisseur, and a perfect day was spent with Rosa, a good glass of wine and immersing himself in the many books he loved.
Together, Otto and Rosa traveled the world, exploring new countries, cities, and cultures. These adventures were among his greatest pleasures and created countless cherished memories for all who knew them.
Otto is survived by his beloved wife, Rosa, his siblings Hugo, Bart, Gerrit, and Louise Duran, as well as many nieces and nephews. His curiosity for new places, the warmth with which he welcomed everyone into his home, and his gentle, kind soul, made him deeply cherished. He will be forever missed by all whose lives he touched.
A celebration of Otto's life will be held in the spring when the gardens that he loved are in bloom.
