Mrs. Olivia Marano, 90, of Bethlehem died Monday November 1, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis Marano.
Mrs. Marano was born May 15, 1920 in Naugatuck a daughter of the late Frederick and Ann (Durkin) Scheithe. A graduate of Naugatuck High School, she worked at Peter-Paul Mounds Company as well as various other companies in the Waterbury area. She was also a wonderful homemaker. She lived the last 20 years of her life in Hallandale Beach, Florida at Rolen Gardens and was a member of the Italian American Civic Club. Her hobbies included bowling, shuffleboard, bingo and playing cards.
She is survived by a son, Louis Marano and his wife Elizabeth of Pompano Beach, FL, a daughter, Cassandra Murphy and her husband William of Bethlehem, 5 grandchildren, Jodi Ciccarelli of Madison, Kristen Fischthal and her husband Howard of Watertown, David Murphy and his wife Lauren of Southington, Ryan Murphy and his wife Jennifer of Watertown and Louis Marano, Jr. of Thomaston, 7 great-grandchildren, Eric and Ally Fischthal, James and Jack Marano, Davin, Mackensie and Juliet Murphy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 brothers, Harry, Frederick, Walter, Franklin, Howard, Clearence and Earl Marano and 4 sisters, Anna Gale, Florence Scheithe, Leona Luth and Enid Hogan.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 1st Congregational Church in Watertown on Friday November 5th at 10am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
