Oakville - Olington (Oley) Pond of Oakville, died Sunday, Oct. 5, at Waterbury Hospital. He is the husband of the late Janet Cole Pond.

Oley was born October 1, 1942, in Sharon, CT, son of the late Loyal Pond and late Geraldine Baily Pond Marcou. He was a gardener for two estates in CT.

Oley leaves a daughter, Tina Valditara and son-in-law John Valditara of Spring, Texas, Olington was 1 of 17 children, he is survived by bothers Loyal (Sonny) and Stuart (Scott), of New Milford, Wellington (Wally) of Pennsylvania, sisters Phyllis Custus and Bonnie Hill of New Milford, Lois Colby of Bristol and Rolanda Williams of Virginia. He also leaves behind a sister and brother in-law of Woodbury, sister-in-law in Thomaston, brother-in-law in Waterbury.
