SOUTHBURY- Mrs. Nina Cole Lautenschlager, 89, of Southbury, formerly of Woodbury, died Friday August 5, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late William S. Lautenschlager, Jr.
Mrs. Lautenschlager was born February 4, 1922, daughter of the late Francis and Ruby (Freeman) Cole. She graduated from Woodbury High School and worked at The Denominator Company, Inc., the Woodbury Flower Shop and had worked at the Southbury Training School laundry for over 15 years, retiring as supervisor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, crafts and ceramics. Mrs. Lautenschlager was a member of the Ladies Fellowship at South Britain Congregational Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She leaves two sons, Thomas C. Lautenschlager and his wife Kathleen, Dr.R.A. (Richard) Lautenschlager and his wife Wendeline Price, a daughter Diane E. Blackburn, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 14 brothers and sisters and a son in-law, David E. Blackburn and 8 half brothers and sisters.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury
Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1st at Noon at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial for Nina and her late husband William will follow in Pierce Hollow Cemetery, Southbury. Friends may call the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m.- until the time of service.
