Obituary

Myron Havrilchak of Southbury CT, husband of Phyllis Havrilchak passed away on August 21, 2024 at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of Michael and Mary Havrilchak.

Myron was born in Olyphant, PA. on August 15, 1931. After high school he joined the army. He met his lifelong sweetheart and married on September 16,1956. They were married 67 years.

Myron worked in the food industry all of his life first starting at the American Ravioli Co. in Garfield, NJ. He then joined Supermarket General Co. and transferred his family to Danbury, CT where he worked at Pathmark and then ended his career at Waldbaums. He held management positions at both of these stores.

After retirement Myron and his wife settled in Southbury where he resided for 20 years.

Myron loved photography, word games and his beloved Yankees and Jets. He loved his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

Myron is survived by his wife Phyllis, his daughters Sandra and Elaine(Lane) and her husband Allyn. His grandchildren Ashley Wyka and husband Mark, Michael and Sarah. Also his beloved dog Wyatt and grand dog Brody.

He was predeceased by his sister's Ann Kutcher and Pat.

A celebration of his life is planned for the family later this year.
