SOUTHBURY

Mildred L. Truelove, 89, died November 18, 2014 in the comfort of her Southbury, CT home, supported by her beloved caregiver, Dannette Williams of NY. She was born in New Haven, CT, daughter of Arthur Liebman and Maude (Jones) Liebman. She graduated from Hill House High School. She worked for the New England Telephone Co. before marrying Russell E. Truelove and then became a full time housewife until after her children were grown. After a time working at Beecher Rd. School she moved from Bethany to Southbury, CT and resumed working for the telephone company until her retirement. Millie enjoyed family and nature. She made sure that every bird and squirrel in her vicinity was fully supplied with seed and peanuts. She watched deer and other wildlife that came to visit outside her door in Southbury. She especially loved her many dogs and cats over her long life. Survivors include her son, Eric Truelove and his wife LiAnn Petersen and their daughters, Michaela and Caitlin of Madison, WI, her daughter Robin Truelove Stronk and her husband John of Westmoreland, NH and their son Justin and his wife Alicia of Nashua, NH, their daughters, Joy Fletcher and her husband Dave of Exeter, NH and Amber Stronk of Cambridge, MA, as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her adored identical twin, Martha Downs and her elder sister, Annette Parks in the last year. A grandson, John Fletcher Stronk predeceased her in 1984.
