Michael Keith Snowden 

December 23, 1947 - August 11, 2026 

Michael Keith Snowden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Cook Willow Health Center in Plymouth, Connecticut. 

Mike was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on December 23, 1947. For many years, Mike was a mechanics teacher at Danbury High School. Mike was known for his love of the southwest and enjoyed traveling with his wife to Colorado and Saint Martin. All who knew him knew about his dry wit, unique collection of home decor and that was never seen out of the house without his cowboy hat. 

Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and sharing his hobbies like stain-glass crafting, antique land rovers, driving the tractor, and building an extensive train set that operated throughout the house. 

Mike is predeceased by brothers-in-law Richard Olander and Jim Chase. He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Snowden, and his sons: Erik Snowden and wife Suzanne, Todd Snowden and wife Keri, and William Snowden and Brenda. He is also survived by his siblings, Mayo Chase and Mary Hrubiec, his grandchildren Brett, Meredith, Emma, Roxanne, Shelby and Colt. He was loved and will be missed by his family, friends and church community. 

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury, Connecticut 06798. A Memorial service will begin at 12:00pm.
