** Service Update**

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday April 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M at the Bethlehem Cemetery on Main Street in Bethlehem.

In great sadness we announce that Michael W. O'Neill passed away on January 7 th , 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT. He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to Marion (Betty) Ohr O'Neill. He moved to Connecticut in 1962, graduating from Washington High School in 1965. Serving in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1968. In 1968 Michael moved to Bethlehem, Connecticut and married the lovely Theresa O'Neill (Bennett) in 1969, and they had two beautiful children, Jon O'Neill and Christopher O'Neill.

Michael was an active member of the Bethlehem community, where he was past President and current Director of Bethlehem Fair Society, Bethlehem Car show chair and Nutmeg Chapter Pontiac Club, Member of American Legion, past Little League Coach and Commissioner, past member Board of Finance, past member Elderly Tax Abatement Committee, and past Member of Memorial Hall Committee. Michael owned and operated his own construction company Countryside Excavation, then retired from Town of Bethlehem Public Works Department in 2015.

He was survived by his wife Theresa O'Neill, son Jon O'Neill and his wife Malisa, siblings Eileen, Thomas, Sean, Richard and Patricia O'Neill, his grandsons Jon O'Neill II and William O'Neill, D. Clark Bennett and wife Katherine L. Lorensen, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Maisey. Preceding in joining the Lord his mother and son Christopher O'Neill.

Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and member of the Bethlehem community. He has been a dedicated member of the Bethlehem Fair Society and Nutmeg Chapter Pontiac Club for numerous years. His presence will be greatly missed by his loved ones and members of the community.
