WATERBURY- Michael Luke Obronko, 66, of 177 Whitewood Rd., formerly of Terrace Ave., Naugatuck, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 after a brief illness at St. Mary's VITAS.

Michael was born October 24, 1948 in Waterbury, son of the late Mitchell and Stella (Wojcicki) Obronko. He was a graduate of St. Francis Grammar School, Class of 1962, a graduate of Naugatuck High School, Class of 1966 and also a graduate of the Connecticut School of Electronics, Class of 1968. He worked for United Technologies Corp., Norden Division for many years and Picker International Medical Systems in Northford. He was an expert in electronics, instructing in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of automation and radar circuitry.

Michael was an avid tennis player, having won numerous tennis championships throughout the Waterbury area. He enjoyed fishing and classic cars, owning three during his early years. He also loved traveling to classic car shows all over New England. Michael was a communicant of St. Francis Church of Naugatuck.

He is survived by several cousins that reside in Maryland, New York and Kentucky.

He was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Obronko.
