Mr. Michael Gurecki, 58, of Oxford died Thursday November 18, 2010 at his home. Mr. Gurecki was born June 14, 1952 in Meriden a son of the late Stanley and Genevieve Gurecki. He was an electrical engineer having worked for various companies in the area. He was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America and served as Scout Master of Troop 65 in Oxford. He was an avid amateur radio operator and outdoorsman.
He is survived by two sons, Nicholas James Gurecki of Ansonia and Kenneth John Gurecki of Naugatuck, a brother Francis Gurecki of East Warwick, RI, two sisters, Marianne Woodruff of Somers and Theresa Hurd of Meriden, one granddaughter, Claire Gurecki and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Housatonic Council, 326 Derby Ave., Derby 06418.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Services: A service will follow the calling hours at 7pm at the Funeral Home.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 23rd from 4 - 7pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
