It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maxine Sacks, who departed this life peacefully on August 12, 2026, at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. Maxine was born on May 9, 1933, in Yonkers, New York, to her loving parents, Samuel and Ruth Landman.

Maxine was a devoted family member whose life was defined by her unwavering commitment to her loved ones. She cherished the simplicity of nature and found joy in the little things, always exhibiting the patience and warmth that made her a beloved friend to many. Her kindness and compassion touched the hearts of those around her, fostering connections that will be remembered fondly.

Maxine is survived by her daughter-in-law Jo Ann Newberry of Southbury, CT, grandson, Jesse of West Greenwich, RI, many relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Jerome Sacks, her sons Barry and Howard Sacks.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, August 18, 2026 starting at 10:30am held at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home 235 Main St. North., Southbury, CT. Burial will follow at Beth El Cemetery located 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
