Maurice J. Hartnett, Jr., 67, died Thursday April 18, 2013 at Apple Rehabilitation in Watertown.
Mr. Hartnett was born June 9, 1945 in New York City, NY, son of the late Maurice J. Hartnett Sr., and Laura (Kent) Hartnett. He has resided in Woodbury for many years. He was a paraprofessional in the Cheshire School System assisting children with special needs and was very active in the school system and community. He was a loving father and proud grandfather.
He leaves a son, Kevin Hartnett of Oakville, and a daughter, Kristen Jones of Wellesley, MA and a sister Jeanne Grune of Lincoln Park, NJ and several nieces and nephews, also three grandchildren, Durham, Rhys, and Landon Jones.
He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Hartnett.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church, 74 West Main St. Waterbury.

Services: A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church, 74 West Main St. Waterbury. Burial will be private.
