Matthew William Huff, 24, of Pilgrim Trail died unexpectedly on February 3, 2016. Matthew attended Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury and Hamden Hall in Hamden. He attended Morovian College in Bethlehem, Pa. He excelled in baseball and football; he was a beautiful and graceful athlete. A high energy optimist who was a voracious reader of eastern religions, he wrote poetry and loved the outdoors. He worked so hard and was so sensitive a person that it made life difficult sometimes. He worked at Brooks Landscaping and Splash Carwash. He will never be forgotten by his family.
He is survived by his mother Karen Huff of New Haven, his father Bill Huff of Woodbury, his brother Sean L. Huff of Woodbury, his sister Emily J. Huff of Chicago, Illinois, his paternal grandparents, Russell B.& Josephine V. Huff of Woodbury, his maternal grandfather Santo Listro of Estro, FL, uncles Russell C. Huff of Woodbury, Brian F. Huff of New Orleans, cousins Kelly Parisi of Oxford and Ryan Huff of Wake Forest, NC. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Pauline Listo.

Funeral: Church Not Applicable

Services: A funeral service will be held Tuesday February 9, 2016 at 11am. Burial will be held in the New North cemetery, April 12, 2016 at 10: 00 am

Visitation: Calling hours for family and friends will be on Monday February 8, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm.at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School Street.
