Matthew J. Crick, 19, of 291 Watertown Road, died suddenly Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at his home.

Matthew was born November 4, 1987 in Danbury, son of Michael W. and Lisa (Grasso) Crick. He was a 2005 graduate of Pomperaug High School, having been member of its' track and cross country teams. Matthew was a sophomore at Western Connecticut State University, majoring in Communications, Media studies. He was presently employed at Shaw's Supermarket, Southbury.

Matthew loved his family, his friends, his dogs, music, movies and trips to New York City.

Besides his parents, he leaves four brothers, William, Benjamin, Adam and Mitchell Crick all of Middlebury, his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Grasso of Southbury and his paternal grandmother Joan Crick of Newtown. Also, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at Middlebury Congregational Church, 1242 Whittemore Rd. Middlebury, CT 06762. Burial will be in the spring in Newtown Village Cemetery with his paternal grandfather, James W. Crick, Jr.

Visitation: Friends may call the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North on Friday from 3-8 p.m.
