IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mathew Earl
Meister
August 22, 1983 – June 3, 2014
Mathew Earl Meister - Age 30 - Triumphed over his struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 - surrounded by family, friends and two loving dogs.
Mat was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 5, giving him a life expectancy of 16 years. Mat went way beyond anybody's expectations.
He was a natural musician from an early age and perpetual student - always interested in new information to be shared and debated with the next visitor.
Most optimistic views always - passing them along to those that were in need of finding their special pathway. Counselor too many, a listener, patient, kind and determined!
Mat is survived by his Grandparents Earl and Val Meister in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; his mother and step-father, Becky Meister-Jimmo and Donny Jimmo of Woodbury, his brother Nick Meister of Albuquerque, New Mexico and his sister Katie of Sprague River, Oregon, step-brother and sister - Seth Jimmo of Bethlehem, Connecticut and Nicole Jimmo of New Preston, Connecticut. Along with several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and numerous friends...and his furry friends, Ralph and Molly. He was pre-deceased by his father, Harland (Zip) Meister and his Grandparents Albert and Janet Coe and his Uncles Jim Coe and Abe Coe.
