Obituary

Mary V. Yankauskas, 90, of Oxford, died Wednesday, October 17 at the home of her son. She was the widow of Anthony Yankauskas. Mrs. Yankauskas was born September 24, 1917 in Waterbury, daughter of the late John and Mary (Maraulis) Licnikas. Mrs. Yankauskas was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of the church's Ladies Guild. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and playing Bingo. She is survived by a son, Joseph Yankauskas and his wife Martha of Oxford; a brother, Joseph Licnikas of Oxford; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, William Yankauskas and two brothers, John and Peter Licnikas.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd. Oxford, 06478.

Funeral: St. Thomas the Apostle

Services: Funeral mass will be held Monday, October 22 at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck

Visitation: Calling hours Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
