Obituary

Mary Winifred Reynolds died on June 7th in Southbury, Connecticut at the age of 96. She was the daughter of Mary Blythyn and Timothy Ryan. She is survived by her sons Wallace Blythyn Reynolds of Greenwich, Ct and William Timothy Reynolds of Dallas, Texas and her stepsons, Roger W. Reynolds, Jr. of San Rafael, California and John F. Reynolds of Napa, California, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger W. Reynolds, her brother Denis Ryan of Costa Rica and sisters Florence McInnis and Dolly Seville both of the United Kingdom.

Winnie was born in Liverpool, England on June 7, 1912 and raised in Argentina, where she lived until returning to England at the outbreak of World War II. During the war, she served with British Intelligence in London, England; Cairo, Egypt and Teheran, Iran, where she met and married her husband. Following the war, they lived in Caracas, Venezuela where she was active in British community affairs and undertook several business ventures. Subsequently, they lived in Aruba, the Dominican Republic, Libya, Indonesia and the United Kingdom before settling in Southbury, Connecticut.

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church

Services: A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 24 at 11: 00 am Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street S, Southbury, Connecticut. Burial will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery Southbury.

Visitation: There are no calling hours.
