Mark Andrew Scribe, born October 21, 1960, entered his eternal resting place on December 8, 2024. He was the cherished husband of Karen Felicia (Lucas) Scribe for 42 years, with whom they raised in Southbury, CT a son, Matthew, and a daughter, Kimberly (husband J. Valenti). He has two beautiful granddaughters Liliana (6) and Adalyn (4), whom lovingly called him Bampa.

He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Janet Scribe and was their only son and middle child. He is already sorely missed by his sisters, Christine Wesche (husband Kevin) from Oxford and Sandra Lavoy (husband Tim) from Portland, his mother and father in-law Geraldine and Robert Lucas, his 12 nieces and nephews, and 10 grand nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; all of whom hold many precious memories.

Mark graduated from Western New England College as an Electrical Engineer and committed his professional life to Pitney Bowes, retiring in March of 2023. Mark's engineering mind was a huge part of his life and guided many of the decisions he made over his lifetime. He and Karen were avid campers and loved exploring the country. They traveled the USA and beyond and had plans for so much more.

Mark relished his toys: his Harley, his BMW convertible, and his snowmobile to name a few. He was a soccer coach, a golfer, a snowmobiler, a tinkerer, a coffee, wine, and bourbon connoisseur, a food aficionado, and so much more. Mark looked forward to his family vacations every year and his fun-filled adventures he planned with Karen and close friends.

But the role he loved most of all was that of a family man: a husband, a father, a Bampa, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a friend, and a host. A man who was full of life with so much to share with those he loved.

The last couple of years of Mark's life were filled with complex decisions, wrought with battling the unknown of cancer's viciousness. With each and every obstacle in his path, he evaluated his options and fought with tenacity and a fearless commitment to be with his family. He is no longer suffering and is finally at peace. Our love for him is immeasurable and he will remain in our hearts forever.

Friends and family may visit on December 12, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. N. Southbury, CT 06488. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday December 13, 2024 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 910 Main St S, Southbury, CT 06488. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
