Loving Father, Son and Brother
Mark James Bielanos, age 50, passed away on March 2, 2015, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 10, 1964, to Joseph and Genevieve (Marcisz) Bielanos of Oxford. He was the third of four children. He was the loving father of Nicholas and Alexander Bielanos of Newtown.
Mark was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and later received his Bachelor's degree from Eastern Connecticut State University. He was in the process of working on getting his MBA. He worked for IBM for over 20 years and later worked at NASDAQ in Trumbull for a brief time before becoming ill. He was a devout Catholic. He loved the New York Yankees, the New England Patriots and NASCAR racing. He loved enjoying time with his friends and family. He was an avid music fan and an inspiration to many that were close to him. Mark never complained; he was brave and always joking. His smile and humor were infectious.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his children; Nicholas and Alexander whom he lived for; Mark was a devoted and loving father. He viewed every moment with his boys as a gift. He often mentioned how blessed he was and how proud he was of them. They were his heart and soul. He loved them more than anything else in this world. He was as lucky to have them as they were to have him. Fishing, camping and outdoor activities with his boys was always a treat. Spending weekends with Nicholas and Alexander at the Rhode Island house, enjoying lobsters and Block Island were also amongst his favorite times with them.
He is also survived by his brother Michael Bielanos and sister-in-law Wendy of Southbury, his brother Mitchell Bielanos of Oxford, and his sister Michelle Albino and brother-in-law James (Bo) Albino of Southbury. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved so very much. He will be dearly missed by his close friends who are like family, Bob and Todd.

Funeral: St. Thomas the Apostle
Services: Mark's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11: 00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd, in Oxford. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Visitation: Calling hours for Mark will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 4: 00 - 8: 00 PM at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, in Southbury.
