Mrs. Marjorie M. Hawxhurst, 89, of Woodbury died Tuesday December 28, 2010 at Masonicare of Newtown. She was the wife of the late Townsend Hawxhurst. Marjorie was born May 25, 1921 in Woodbury a daughter of the late Fortuna J. and Mary J. (Reilly) St. Pierre.
Mrs. Hawxhurst was born and raised in Woodbury and has been co-owner of St. Pierre Oil Company for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie Lowenthal and her companion Ronald Packer, her son, Garry P. Hawxhurst and his wife Barbara, 4 grandchildren, Kristen Ann Lowenthal; William Scott Lowenthal, USMC; Julia Carolyn Hawxhurst and Christine Ann Hawxhurst and 2 great grandchildren, Andrew and Ireland Lowenthal. She was predeceased by a brother, Fred C. St. Pierre.

Services: A memorial mass will be held on Saturday January 8, 2011 at St. Teresa's Church in Woodbury at 11am. Burial will be held privately in the spring.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Friday January 7, 2011 at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., from 5 - 8pm.
