WOODBURY - Marjorie Farson Griffin, died on January 9, 2015, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. Marge was born October 5, 1912, in Lake Forest, IL, to Elizabeth (Heald) and William Farson of Chicago. She was brought up and educated in New York City, then graduated from The Masters School, Dobbs Ferry, NY, in 1931. She was married in New York City to Robert W. Griffin, also of New York, on April 26, 1941.
Marge was predeceased by her husband, Bob, in 2004, and by her son, Bill, in 2011. Her sister, Jean Farson Judd of Cincinnati, and Jean's husband, Charles, also predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda, of Montclair, NJ, and Westerly, RI, and her granddaughter, Ashley Griffin Vitale of Boston. She is survived also by her niece Leslie Judd Graitcer (Phil) of Atlanta, GA, and two nephews, Charles Judd (Elizabeth) of Louisville, CO, and William Judd (Caroline) of Concord, NH.
Marge was an active member of First Congregational Church of Woodbury and a volunteer at The Waterbury Hospital for 40 years. She also served on the boards of the Waterbury Day Nursery and Waterbury Girls Club for several years.
