Marjorie (Berney) Duke, 87, of Southbury, died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Samuel Page Duke, Jr. Mrs. Duke was born June 9, 1922 in Bronx, New York, daughter of the late Sydney and Harriet (Cohen) Berney. She lived in Darien from 1954 until 1997 where she worked as an agent at Pierce Real Estate. Moving to Heritage Village in Southbury in 1997, she volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program and at the Praxair Center of Danbury Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Stuart Duke of Weston, VT and Thomas Page Duke of Arlington, VA; three sisters, Dorothy Guntner of Southbury, Leoni Ross of Highland Falls, NY and Bernice Norman of Southbury; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Services: A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 12 at 11: 00 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be private.
