Miss Marion E. Hawley, 89, of Roxbury, CT, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015.
She was born October 10, 1926, in Hawleyville, a section of Newtown, CT. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Frisbie Hawley. She was predeceased by her sister, Miss Eleanor Hawley. Marion grew up in the house built by her grandfather, Henry Frisbie, on Frisbie Rd, in Washington, CT. She graduated from school in Washington, CT and worked for many years at the Washington Supply Company. Marion enjoyed exploring the back roads of Roxbury, Woodbury and Washington. She loved sharing her memories of the history of the towns, old homes and people with everyone. Marion was known as the family historian and will be missed by her family and many friends.
