Marion E. Dykty, 81, of Southbury, died Sunday, July 16 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of Frank Dykty. Mrs. Dykty was born August 10, 1924 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Ward and Anna Margaret (Petersen) Benedict. During World War II, Mrs. Dykty worked for the Timex Corporation as a fuse setter. She volunteered at the Southbury High School cafeteria and enjoyed bowling in a woman's bowling league. She is survived by 5 sons, William, Thomas and Michael, all of Southbury, Joseph and his wife Brigitte of Clarksville, TN, Bruce and his wife Dodie of Cheshire; two daughters, Patricia and Kathleen, both of Southbury; a brother, Robert of Naples, FL; a sister, Rita ; 6 grandchildren, Rebecca, Shannon, Jill, Christine, Kevin and Catherine; 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services and burial are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southbury Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 911, Southbury, 06488. The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, is in charge of arrangements.
