Marilyn F. (Moores) Ford, 72, of Woodbury, died Sunday, June 10, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Gary W. Ford.
Mrs. Ford was born November 30, 1939 in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Pastor Philip and Doris (Bancroft) Moores. She graduated from Atlantic Union College in Lancaster, Massachusetts before working as a high school teacher, a hospital nutrition specialist, and a fashion consultant for Beeline Fashions.
She also held a passion for dollhouse miniatures and was an artist specializing in creating small-scale miniature pieces. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Besides her husband of 41 years, she is survived by her daughter, Janet Boyko and her son-in-law, Andrew of San Jose, Ca.; two sisters, Anita Knutson of Corbeil, Ontario, and Jeanne Paige of Saanichton, British Columbia; and two beloved grandsons, Nicholas and James. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathy Glanzer.
