Obituary

Woodbury- Marilyn Aligata passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. Born on June 11, 1937, in Bridgewater, MA, she was the daughter of John Jacob Kern and Marion Ryan. Marilyn lived a life embodying the principles of "live, laugh, and love" to the fullest.

Marilyn's family, including Pam and Greg Lesniewski, John and Donna Aligata, cherished her deeply, as did her four grandchildren: Jarrod, Jayce, Alyssa, and John Sal; her five great-grandchildren, and her beloved brother and sister-in-law, AJ and Anne Simoneau.

She was known for her love to have fun, whether singing or dancing, even in her wheelchair, or clowning around with her red nose to lift the spirits of those around her. Marilyn had a passion for peace on earth and found it in her heart with Jesus. Determinedly, she earned her college degree at 77 years old, delighting her loved ones.

Throughout her life, Marilyn touched the lives of many with her compassion, professionally serving those who benefited greatly from her gifts. Her love of playing cards and other games traveled with her from the Woodbury Senior Center to wherever she gathered to socialize.

Her family and friends will always remember her for her infectious laughter. Marilyn was a spunky, full-of-life, unforgettable woman that will be greatly missed by many.
