Marie B. Ottaviano, 81, of Woodbury, died Friday, August 30, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the longtime friend of Millie B. Hull. Marie was born August 4, 1932 in Stamford, CT, daughter of the late Alexander and Eunice (DeNaples) Ottaviano. Marie was a talented softball player and played for the Raybestos Brakettes for 14 years. They were national champions for 4 of those years and Marie was inducted in the CT Hall of Fame in 1979. After her softball career, she co-owned the Plush Pup Grooming Shop in Fairfield for many years. She resided in Florida for 8 years before moving to Woodbury in 2009 and retired from Vectron after many years of service. Marie was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. She loved to cook, enjoyed music and playing the keyboard.

Besides her longtime friend Millie, she leaves a brother Robert Ottaviano of San Francisco, CA, a niece and a nephew also of California.

Services: A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 14 at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church , Main St. South, Woodbury. Burial will be private.
