Marie Nulty, educator, mother and grandmother, dies at 72.
Marie Nulty, 72, of Heritage Village, Southbury, formerly of Woodbury, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 30, 2015. A Brooklyn native, Marie is predeceased by her husband Peter and survived by her three daughters, Monica Burnham of Southbury, Beth Kitchener of Norwalk and Maureen Cappetto of Terryville; two sons-in-law Chip Burnham and Michael Cappetto and four grandchildren, Alex, Kira, Michael and Maxwell.
A life-long believer in education, Marie started her professional career as an assistant at Christ Church Day School in Oxford and retired in 2005 as the Director of the Early Childhood Education at Housatonic Community College. Marie held a Master of Arts degree from Fairfield University.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Marie Nulty to the Early Childhood Lab School at Housatonic Community College Foundation, 900 Lafayette Boulevard, Bridgeport CT, 06604.

Services: Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury, on Thursday, April 2 at 10 a.m.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 1 from 5-8 p.m. and from 9-9: 30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2 at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North in Southbury.
