Mrs. Marie Grace DeFelice, 81, of Woodbury died Tuesday September 25th, 2007 at Masonic Health Center in Wallingford. She was the widow of Anthony A. DeFelice, her beloved husband of 60 years.
Mrs. DeFelice was born October 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy (Paciorelli) Dastoli.
Mrs. DeFelice was a resident of Stamford for many years. She was a graduate of Stamford High School, class of 1943. Upon graduation, Mrs. DeFelice worked as a bookkeeper for Air Reduction Saks Company of Stamford, CT. When she met Anthony, the love of her life, they married and she raised her family. In later years, she became business owner and worked in partnership with her late husband. She ended her career at Dorr Oliver in Stamford, CT.
Mrs. DeFelice retired and moved to Woodbury, CT, to be near her family and take great delight in being a grandmother. She also helped run the finances of a family-owned business. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be remembered for her sweet nature, generosity and wonderful cooking. Mrs. DeFelice enjoyed playing Mahjong with her many friends at Woodbury Hill. She was also a communicant of St. Theresa's Church of Woodbury, CT.
Mrs. DeFelice leaves two sons, Michael DeFelice and his wife, Chris of Pawlet, VT; Ron DeFelice and his wife Cindy of Newtown, CT; and a daughter, Nancy Woodside and her husband, Robert, of Southbury, CT; two brothers, Michael Dastoli of Stamford, CT and Joseph Dastoli, Jr. of Stamford, CT; six grandchildren, Mia DeFelice, Travis Woodside, Tyler Woodside, Colin Woodside, Lauren DeFelice, and Nicole DeFelice. She is predeceased by a grandson, Ryan DeFelice of Manchester, VT, and a brother Anthony Dastoli, Sr. of Stamford, CT.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday September 29th at 10:00am at St. Teresa's Church in Woodbury. Burial is at Old North Cemetery, Woodbury. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Connecticut Chapter, 279 New Britain Road, Kensington, CT 06037.
