Obituary

Marian Goodrich Hudak passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2019. She was born October 4, 1926 in New Orleans, LA.

During the Korean war, Marian and her dearest friend Myrtis loved to dance at the USO. Both were employed at Greyhound Bus Co. and enjoyed a long friendship until Myrtis' passing. Marrying Leonard Hudak in 1953, they shared an interest in dancing, music and singing.

Leonard's job brought the family to CT where Marian enjoyed a rewarding career at Sears in West Hartford, making numerous friends before retiring in 1991.  She remained active while volunteering and traveling with friends from The Elmwood Senior Center.

She is predeceased by her parents, Catherine and John Goodrich and her six siblings.

She is survived by her children Lori and Joel Cook of Woodbury CT, Greg and Katie Hudak of Avon CT and Kim and Asa Gage of Woodstock GA. Adoring grandchildren Ryan (Arianne) and Dan Simmons, Sarah Eileen and Jennifer Marian Hudak and Asa J Gage.

We believe her long life was attributed to her passion for her children, grandchildren, fond memories of New Orleans and her faith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Paul's Episcopal Church P.O. Box 5002 Woodbury, CT 06798 or S.W.I.M. PO Box 876, Woodbury, CT 06798.
