Margaret Freitag age 94, a resident of Stamford, Connecticut since 1962. Born on November 7, 1930 to Virginia and Paul McMaster.

Margaret attended Downers Grove High School, La Grange Junior College in Illinois and New School for Social Research, New York City. Margaret and her ex-husband, Robert P. Freitag guided and nurtured 3 children and were proud to have created a loving family.

Margaret loved reading, needlepoint, creating crafts, refinishing furniture and in her younger years played golf, tennis, and paddle tennis.

Margaret was Director of the Over Sixty Club, sponsored by Senior Services of Stamford (now renamed Silversource) for 36 years. She loved her work and the many people she served. She also worked part-time as an Associate for Saks Fifth Avenue for 25 years.

Margaret was active in the community all her life. She participated in many organizations in the various communities where she lived, Downers Grove and Mt. Prospect, Illinois, Charlotte, North Carolina and Stamford, Connecticut.

Margaret has been an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stamford, since 1962 she participated in the life of the church, serving as an Elder and as a Deacon.

Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her 11 brothers and sisters. Margaret is survived by her daughter Susan Gorman and her husband John Gorman. Son Scott Freitag and his wife Jan, and son Richard Freitag. Plus 5 grandchildren, Cara Gorman-Moreno, Matthew Freitag, Douglas Freitag, Max Freitag, and Keelan Freitag. Five great grandchildren Kellen Moreno, Canaan Freitag, Jackson Freitag, Neave Moreno, and Declan Moreno. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
